Privacy policy

Summary

inXchess is a web app (PWA). We do not sell data or run our own account server. Most information stays on your device (localStorage, IndexedDB).

Data on your device

We store preferences, games in progress, puzzle progress, studies, and optional profiles you create locally. You can delete this data by clearing site data in your browser settings or uninstalling the PWA.

Lichess and Chess.com accounts

If you link an external account, we use those platforms' public APIs with your authorization (OAuth on Lichess). Imported games stay in your browser. Also see the privacy policies of Lichess and Chess.com.

Analytics and cookies

This version does not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies in the app. Hosting (Vercel) may log technical access data, like any website.
